World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day is celebrated on 10 October every year. This year’s theme, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’.

World Mental Health Day is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health.

Good mental health is an integral part of our overall health and wellbeing.

Recognising mental health as a universal human right empowers people to stand up for their rights – and for those around them. By knowing your mental health rights you can stand up for what is right for you and for others.

The green ribbon is the international symbol of mental health awareness. We will be wearing our ribbons to show our support for mental health this week.
